Today was the kind of day where
you finally stand up to the woman
who never admits she's wrong and she's always wrong
When you realize it's enough
and it's time to do what's right for those kids
and maybe she hates you for it
but at least you don't hate yourself
and maybe those who witnessed it will next time stand up
when she does it again

Tonight was the kind of night
where you need to decompress
while watching bad tv
You drink your lavender and honey tea
and eat some mac n cheese
and drink a pumpkin beer without worrying
that the beer is out of season
